How much does delivery cost?

Delivery costs vary depending on whether your order is a standard order, Same Day order, or a larger order. You can find the exact delivery cost in the checkout, before placing your order.

This only covers part of the cost we pay to ship your order. We do this so that we can maintain low prices on our items and offer this service.

Standard Delivery

Standard orders incur a flat rate delivery fee based on your location.

This covers most orders and is up to the size of a chair or bedside table. Small items, like clothing, books, stationery and dining, will likely only incur a standard delivery fee.

Same Day Delivery

Same Day orders incur a competitive flat rate delivery fee based on your location.

Large Delivery

Larger orders incur additional fees as they cost our carriers more to deliver.

A large order is approximately the size of a bookshelf or storage unit. If your order is over this size, we add a cost per volumetric kilogram to our standard delivery fee. This cost is based on your location and varies from state to state, in line with our carrier fees.

Large items, like outdoor play equipment, furniture, prams and bikes will likely incur additional fees.

What are your delivery timeframes?

Standard Delivery

Once you have received your shipping notification, please allow:

  • Metro delivery within 3-5 business days
  • Metro delivery within 3-5 business days
  • Remote delivery within 14-20 business days

Please note, your order may arrive in multiple packages from multiple carriers. Tracking information will be emailed to you upon dispatch, or can be viewed at Track your order.

Please allow up to 3 days to process your order. Once your order is shipped you will receive an email with tracking information. It can take up to 48 hours after you receive your shipping notification for your tracking details to become active with the courier.

We always strive to ensure on-time delivery, but there may be instances when packages may be delivered past the estimated date. For example, this may occur with split orders where we dispatch the order from multiple stores in multiple shipments to ensure that the order is delivered in full.

Same Day Delivery

Same Day delivery will not be available after 12 pm on Fridays, weekends or public holidays.

  • Order Same Day delivery before 12pm for same day delivery
  • Order Same Day delivery after 12pm for next day delivery

Who will deliver my order?

We use several carriers to deliver our online orders. Depending on your order, it will be shipped with one or more of the below carriers. The tracking link in your shipping confirmation email(s) will take you directly to the carrier’s website to track your package. You can also click on the below links.

Can I change my delivery address after my order has been placed?

No, you can’t change your delivery address once your order has been placed. Once you receive your shipping confirmation email, it may be possible for the carrier to change your delivery address or redirect your order. Please contact the carrier directly. If your order can’t be delivered it will be returned to our stores. A refund will then be processed and takes 3-5 business days to be processed back into your account. If you still want to purchase the items you can order online again or buy in store.

What is authority to leave?

If you provide authority to leave during checkout, you’re allowing our carriers to leave the package unattended at your address without a signature.

  • If the carrier believes the location is not secure, they will not leave the items unattended

If you don’t provide authority to leave, our carriers will leave a note directing you with next steps.

  • For Australia Post deliveries, your package will be left at a nearby collection point (e.g. pharmacy, newsagent or post office)
  • For Allied Same Day deliveries, you will be contacted by either Allied Same Day or Waltons to arrange redelivery

Will I have to sign for my delivery?

If you provide authority to leave during checkout, you will not be required to sign for your delivery. If you don’t provide authority to leave, you may be required to sign for your delivery.

I didn’t pick up my package from the collection point, and it’s been returned to Waltons.. What happens now?

Once the package is returned to our store, we’ll refund the cost of the items, excluding the delivery fee which is non-refundable in these circumstances.

The carrier has not delivered my order due to access issues to my address. Why has this happened when your website allowed me to use that address in the checkout?

In rare cases we may not be able to deliver to certain addresses that our carriers deem to be unsafe, inaccessible or in certain remote areas; e.g. narrow dirt roads, steep driveways etc. In these instances, our carriers are often not aware of the issue until they attempt the delivery. Please also note that delivery to your door is at the discretion of our carriers. Carriers may be unable to deliver your parcel to your doorstep where it is difficult to do so e.g. delivering big and bulky items, delivering to an apartment complex etc. We acknowledge that failed deliveries are disappointing for our customers and ask that if you do live in a location which is difficult to access, please use the delivery address of a local post office or news-agency to collect your order from.

  • We automatically pick the closest available store to fulfil your 1-hour delivery order

Click & Collect

Click and Collect is a free service that allows you to order online and pick up your items from an Waltons store of your choice.

Click and Collect is a convenient way to purchase from our wide range of over 35,000 items online and collect them from an Waltons store most convenient to you.

Click and Collect is available for most items on the website. Eligible items will show a green ‘light’ on the search results, product listing and product details pages for the store you have set.

Once you have added items you wish to purchase, follow the steps to complete your order. In the Delivery step, you will be asked to select whether you would like your order 'Deliver To Door' or 'FREE Click & Collect'. Select the 'FREE Click & Collect' tab and enter your postcode to find the relevant store locations for your order.

From there, select or update your preferred store and then follow the prompts to complete your order. Please note, if you have changed store locations, the availability of some items may change. The order summary on the right hand side of the page will alert you to these changes. For your reference you will receive an order confirmation after your order has been completed.

All items have an estimated collection time on the website and in your order confirmation emails, we will notify you via SMS and email as soon as your order is ready.

We will send you an email and SMS when your order is ready for collection at your nominated store.

We will happily hold your order for you in store until you are ready to collect it. Waltons will hold your order for 30 days after the goods have been marked as ready for collection. This excludes Print & Copy items

When picking up your order please bring valid photo identification and your 'Order Confirmation'. The name on the 'Order Confirmation' email must match the name on the photo identification.

For privacy and security reasons, only the person who placed the order will be able to collect the order. The name on the 'Order Confirmation' email must match the name on the photo identification.
