Golden Ticket Promotion Terms & Conditions

1. Promoters

1. The Waltons “Paper” Golden Ticket Promotion (“Promotion”) is conducted by Waltons (Pty) Ltd in association with Mondi South Africa (collectively referred to as “the Promoters”).
2. By participating in this Promotion, entrants agree to be bound by these Terms and Conditions.

2. Promotional period

1. The Promotion commences on 1 September 2026 and closes at 23:59 on 30 September 2026.
2. No entries received after the closing date will be considered.

3. Participating stores

1. The Promotion is valid at participating Waltons retail stores nationwide.
2. The Promotion is available in-store only.
3. Online purchases, telephone orders, and corporate purchases are excluded.

4. Qualifying purchase

1. To participate, customers must purchase one qualifying ream of Waltons “Paper” branded A4 copier paper during the promotional period.
2. Bulk purchases, wholesale purchases, and business account purchases are excluded.

5. Consumer Protection Act

1. Participation in this Promotion is governed by the Consumer Protection Act 68 of 2008 and the regulations relating to promotional competitions where applicable.

6. First customer promotion

1. The first eligible customer to purchase a ream of Waltons “Paper” at each participating store after the commencement of the Promotion will receive:
   • One (1) Waltons Gift Voucher valued at R200; and
   • One (1) automatic entry into the national grand prize draw.
2. If the first qualifying customer declines the prize or is found to be ineligible, the prize will be awarded to the next eligible qualifying customer.
3. Store management will verify the first qualifying transaction using the store’s official sales records.

7. Golden Ticket promotion

1. During the promotional period, five (5) official Golden Tickets will be allocated to each participating Waltons store for distribution at random qualifying purchases.
2. Customers who receive an official Golden Ticket following the purchase of a qualifying ream of Waltons Paper will receive:
   • One (1) Waltons Gift Voucher valued at R200; and
   • One (1) entry into the national grand prize draw upon successful registration.
3. Each Golden Ticket contains a unique serial number that must be validated before a prize is awarded.

8. Instant voucher prize

1. Each valid Golden Ticket winner and each qualifying first customer will receive one (1) Waltons Gift Voucher valued at R200.
2. The voucher:
   • is redeemable immediately;
   • may not be exchanged for cash;
   • is non-transferable;
   • may not be combined with another promotional voucher in the same transaction; and
   • is subject to Waltons standard Gift Voucher Terms and Conditions.

9. Grand prize

1. One (1) national winner will receive:
   • R10,000 (Ten Thousand Rand) cash.
2. The prize will be paid via Electronic Funds Transfer (EFT) into a verified South African bank account held in the winner’s name.
3. The Promoters are required to verify banking details before payment.
4. The bank account must be held in the verified winner’s own name.

10. How to enter the grand prize draw

1. After receiving a valid Golden Ticket or qualifying as a first customer winner, entrants must register their details in-store using the official QR code with the assistance of the Branch Manager.
2. Entrants must provide:
   • Name
   • Surname
   • Mobile number
   • Email address
   • Participating store
   • Till slip number
   • Golden Ticket serial number (where applicable)
3. Incomplete registrations will not qualify.

11. Proof of purchase

1. Entrants must retain:
   • the original till slip; and
   • the original Golden Ticket.
2. Failure to produce both documents upon request may result in disqualification.

12. Lost or damaged tickets

1. Lost Golden Tickets cannot be replaced.
2. Photocopies, scans, reproductions or altered tickets will not be accepted.
3. Where a ticket is damaged but remains identifiable, the unique serial number together with Waltons photographic validation records may be used to verify authenticity.

13. Eligibility

1. The Promotion is open to South African residents.
2. Entrants must present a valid South African ID document or passport when claiming prizes.
3. Persons under the age of 18 years may participate only with the consent and assistance of a parent or legal guardian.

14. Excluded persons

The following persons may not enter the Promotion:

• Waltons employees;
• Mondi employees;
• advertising, promotional and marketing agencies involved in the Promotion;
• suppliers directly associated with the Promotion;
• directors;
• immediate family members;
• spouses;
• life partners; and
• business partners.

15. Entry limits

1. Each qualifying customer may receive only one (1) instant prize and submit only one (1) grand prize entry.
2. Customers who win an instant R200 voucher remain eligible to win the R10,000 grand prize.

16. Returns

1. Qualifying products purchased as part of this Promotion may not be returned for refund once an instant prize has been awarded.

17. Grand prize draw

1. The grand prize draw will take place on Friday, 2 October 2026 at the Waltons National Office.
2. The draw will be conducted under the supervision of the Chief Retail Officer or an authorised representative.
3. The winning entry will be selected by a random electronic wheel spin from all valid entries received.

18. Winner notification

1. The winner will be contacted using the registered mobile number and confirmed via email.
2. If the winner cannot be successfully contacted within seven (7) calendar days, or fails to provide the required documentation, the prize will be forfeited and a new winner will be drawn.
3. Failure to submit all required documentation within seven (7) calendar days may result in forfeiture of the prize.

19. Publicity

1. By entering the Promotion, entrants consent to the Promoters using their name, image and photographs for promotional and publicity purposes without additional compensation, except where prohibited by law.

20. Protection of Personal Information (POPIA)

1. By entering the Promotion, entrants consent to the collection and processing of their personal information for purposes of administering the Promotion, verifying winners, awarding prizes and conducting related promotional activities.
2. Personal information will be processed in accordance with applicable South African data protection legislation.

21. Fraud

The Promoters reserve the right to verify all entries.

Entries may be disqualified where:

• fraudulent activity is suspected;
• Golden Tickets have been altered, copied or tampered with;
• serial numbers have been duplicated;
• false information has been supplied; or
• entrants attempt to manipulate the Promotion.

1. The Promoters’ decision shall be final.
2. The Promoters reserve the right to disqualify any entrant who breaches these Terms and Conditions or attempts to unfairly influence the outcome of the Promotion.

22. General

1. The Promoters reserve the right to amend, suspend or cancel the Promotion should circumstances beyond their reasonable control make this necessary.
2. The Promoters shall not be liable for any loss, damage or injury arising from participation in the Promotion or acceptance of any prize, except where liability cannot legally be excluded.
3. The Promoters’ decision regarding any dispute relating to the Promotion shall be final and binding.

23. Force majeure

1. The Promoters shall not be responsible for delays or failure to fulfil obligations due to events beyond their reasonable control, including but not limited to natural disasters, civil unrest, strikes, system failures or other unforeseen events.

24. Jurisdiction

1. These Terms and Conditions shall be governed by the laws of the Republic of South Africa.
